In the beginning it was meant to be a series of silkscreen prints, but then Marine Julié decided to create a series of unique artworks and sells them for the price of a print. As we say in music „a variation on a theme of...", with a single line, one color and a sheet of 90 x 100 cm sketch paper, she multiplied her designs and gave her work a new dimension. All unique artwork are painted by the artist in her studio in Brussels…with a lot of subconscious energy.
Marine Julié (born in France) lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. Julié focuses on painting, for which she uses simple lines to create a timeless and genderless universe that hovers between cave painting and the New York Street Art of the 1980s. She studied art at the École des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux and the University of Arts in Lausanne (ECAL). Her work has been exhibited internationally.
